SENIOR COLLECTION: CAMP 5

It’s year 2050. The global temperature has risen 2 degrees Celsius. Catastrophic storms and flooding have littered the coastlines. Civilians must migrate inland and survive against the elements as they make the climb to higher elevation.

Mount Everest is the highest point on earth. Many attempt the futile ascent to Camp 5: a non-existent site above Camp 4 and higher than the summit. Camp 5 will never be reached. Nevertheless, it becomes a symbol of salvation. This collection explores humanity’s determination to flee from our past destruction and look for new environments to inhabit instead of repairing old ones.
